SATCoL, the trading arm of The Salvation Army and the largest charity owned textiles collector in the UK, is actively working to support organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and combat climate change. Through their nationwide reuse and repurposing schemes, they lessen the impact on overflowing landfill sites by extending the useful life of products and reducing waste. This session will look at different ways in which donations are used, including:
- Corporate donations – excess, and end of life, garments
- Fibresort technology - recycling back into a circular textiles supply chain
- Take back scheme and partnerships
