Executive Director, Apparel Export Council of Egypt (AECE)

Sherin Hosni is the Executive Director of the Apparel Export Council of Egypt (AECE), AECE is a public-private partnership organization established in 1997 by Ministerial Decree that works closely with Egypt’s leading apparel exporters and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade. 

She leads and manages the organization. With over 15 years of experience in the apparel and fashion industry, she is results-driven, with a proven track record of improving operations and driving strategic initiatives. Sherin excels in analytical thinking, strategic planning, leadership, and the management of staff and processes. 

In her role, Sherin is responsible for setting the council’s business strategy, defining annual objectives, and overseeing the implementation of the business plan to achieve these goals. She ensures effective communication with the council’s affiliates, stakeholders, and members while managing the development of the annual export promotion plan. 

Sherin is passionate about promoting Egyptian products globally and empowering her team to achieve the council’s objectives. She also collaborates on key industry projects, including the Switch Med-UNIDO and USAID Trade projects, which focus on sustainability, circular production, and improving energy efficiency in the apparel sector. 

Her expertise encompasses business development, market research, negotiation, and the promotion of sustainability in apparel manufacturing. Sherin is committed to driving the adoption of sustainable practices, helping manufacturers reduce waste, implement circular economy principles, and earn certifications in sustainability and recycling. 

Sherin holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
