Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plansAt Arvind, we recognize that the Environmental, Social and Governance aspects of business are interlinked. Consequently, our philosophy is that sustainability when systematically embedded at the source, gets cascaded throughout the supply chain. This led us not to focus on tailpipe management but also adopt input management as our preferred approach to sustainability, and we called it – Fundamentally Right In our approach of being ‘Fundamentally Right’ we continue to push our boundaries to adopt mitigation and adaptation solutions across our six key inputs – Fibre, Water, Energy, Chemicals, Money and People.Sustainability initiativesCottonPledges for the yearArvind, being an integral part of the textile & apparel industry, is contributing to limit global warming to well below 2, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.Social equity at your companyThe Social dimension of ESG includes how we manage our relationship with the workforce and the society in which we operate. Making a difference in others’ life creates the biggest difference in ours. So, it has been a constant endeavor at Arvind to create a positive difference in every life we touch thus making ‘People’ one of our key inputs.

Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plansArtisanat Handmade: Our brand focuses on producing timeless items that are suitable for daily use, with the aim of reducing waste and ensuring their longevity. Sustainability is a crucial aspect of our brand's growth, influencing our decision-making, design process, and more. By incorporating sustainability into every aspect of our work, we can create pieces that are durable and meant to be worn for a long time. Lin-Ay by Binky Pitogo: Attaining sustainability has always been Lin-ay’s ultimate goal. Although 100% realization cannot be an outright achievement, our brand consistently targets it with significant leaps every time. Lin-ay promotes slow fashion and believes in fostering sustainability across our supply chain.Sustainability initiativesArtisanat Handmade: Artisanat Handmade commits to reduce its environmental impact which is that all our garments are delicately made that come in small batches and 90% of our pieces are made-to-order. Artisanat handmade uses natural plant-based fabrics such as 100% linen in all our garments. We are also known for using GOTs certified fabrics such Organic Cotton Stretch Poplin, Organic Gauze Cotton and Recycled Pet Bottle Fabrics. This certifies that our products are free from hazardous substances, such as toxic dyes and carcinogens, which ensures that our textiles are safe for people and the environment. Easy access to sustainable materials is quite challenging in the Philippines, Artisanat Handmade is an avid fan of dead-stock fabrics. These fabrics are remnants from big manufacturing companies that are no longer in use and in return we create timeless pieces for everyday use. Indeed, packaging gives an extra impact which is why we use corrugated boxes that are 100% recycled and biodegradable. We are also very proud that hang tags and thank you cards are plantable paper products that can be used to grow edible greens. Lin-Ay by Binky Pitogo: Lin-ay uses fabrics that are hand woven, mostly by women, using traditional weaving looms. Hablon or hand-woven fabrics are products of an art form that has been handed across generations in rural communities and supports the livelihood of many families. Setting up the loom with threads is done by hand and the weaving process requires no machinery fueled by electricity. Some designs by Lin-ay use piña fabric, a traditional textile woven from Philippine pineapple leaves through a tedious process to produce threads that make up the delicate weave. Our brand sources beautiful fabrics from small weaving communities around the Philippines thereby transforming their art into another form of artistry. Lin-ay also collaborates with local artisans that add value to traditional weaves through embroidery. Our designs are the sum of laborious processes from thread sourcing, weaving, embroidering, designing and sewing that makes Lin-ay creations distinctive. These are clothes that can only be produced in small batches or in limited quantities per collection.Pledges for the yearArtisanat Handmade: For years to come we pledge to provide assistance to local charities and organizations. Our primary objective for this year is to establish employment initiatives that will focus on enhancing the proficiency of skilled seamstresses and embroiderers, as well as increasing awareness of sustainability. Additionally, our goal is to offer life skills and comprehensive training for both men and women. We will also provide psychosocial support to help them gain self-confidence and improve their overall well-being. We are committed to give back to our Mother Earth which is our objective is to partner a non-profit foundation or organization that focuses mainly on renewing the environment through reforestation. Lin-Ay by Binky Pitogo: We are currently focusing on sustaining the growth of Lin-ay as a provider of apparels that advocate the beauty of Filipino outfits for women and men, while fostering the welfare of its staff and partners. In the immediate future, we look forward to locating more collaborators, especially indigenous artisans. Through this process, we envision a sustainable development of artistry and art that would ensure their preservation, while providing benefits and livelihood for our staff and all participants in the supply chain.Social equity at your companyArtisanat Handmade: We take pride in offering our employees consistent job opportunities that allow them to provide for their families. Additionally, we prioritize our team's ability to spend time with their loved ones by only operating during weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. Lin-Ay by Binky Pitogo: Many of our staff are working in the comfort of their homes, a practice that started right after the pandemic that Lin-ay has found suitably well up to today and in the future. The staff, mostly women, achieve their sewing projects and care for the home with no need to travel to accomplish their work. Our studio is located in a well-appointed setting that provides the staff with very good working conditions and accessibility to transportation. Lin-ay treats its staff as partners because our brand’s growth also depends on the personal growth of each and every one. We honor their strengths and we help them overcome their weaknesses.
